Incarnate Word defeats Abilene Christian 64-52

SAN ANTONIO (AP) Denzel Livingston scored 17 points and Incarnate Word beat Abilene Christian 64-52 on Thursday night.

Kyle Hittle added 13 points, Traylin Farris 12 and Mitchell Badillo 10 for the Cardinals (18-9, 10-7 Southland conference).

Harrison Hawkins scored 21 points for the Wildcats (10-20, 4-13) before fouling out and DaLarrien Williams added 10. Abilene Christian made just 19 of 61 shots for 31.1 percent.

Incarnate Word was just shy of 50 percent shooting, making 24 of 49 shots and had a 40-30 rebounding advantage.

The Wildcats had their largest lead of seven points with 13 minutes left in the first half before being overtaken by the Cardinals who led 23-19 at halftime. Hawkins scored Abilene Christian's first six points of the second half before Parker Wentz's basket got the Wildcats even for the final time. Incarnate Word put together a lead and built it to as many as 14 points with 1:10 left.
