Stephen F Austin rips through Northwestern State 92-66

NACODOCHES, Texas (AP) Demetrious Floyd led five players in double figures with 19 points, including five 3-pointers, to help Stephen F. Austin to a 92-66 victory over Northwestern State on Thursday night.

Jacob Parker finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Ty Charles and Clide Geffrard each had 15 points, and Thomas Walkup added 14 for the Lumberjacks (26-4, 16-1 Southland Conference), who shot 56.1 percent from the field and reached the 90-point plateau for the ninth time this season.

With the win, Stephen F. Austin clinches at least a share of the Southland Conference regular-season title. The Lumberjacks are hosts to second-place Sam Houston State, which trails them by one game, on Saturday.

Stephen F. Austin opened on a 9-2 run and never trailed, stretching its lead to as many as 29 in the second half.

Zeek Woodley scored 21 points to lead Northwestern State (17-11, 12-5).
