John Jordan leads Texas A&M-CC over Abilene Christian 58-27

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) John Jordan had 11 points and six rebounds to make history and lead Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to an overwhelming 58-27 victory over Abilene Christian on Saturday.

With his production Saturday Jordan became the only active player in the NCAA, and second in Southland Conference history, to total 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists in his career.

Rashawn Thomas also had 11 points and Bryce Douvier grabbed 11 rebounds for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (18-12, 13-5).

The Islanders finished third in conference to earn a first-round bye in the tournament which begins in Katy, Texas on Wednesday.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi limited the Wildcats to just 5-of-22 from the floor in the first half and led 26-11 at the break. The Islanders shot 19 of 44 from the floor while holding ACU to 9-of-48 (19 percent) for the game.

Austin Cooke led the Wildcats (10-21, 4-14) with nine points.
