Emotional Georgetown holds off Seton Hall 73-67

WASHINGTON (AP) Jabril Trawick scored 19 points and Georgetown got an emotional lift from Tyler Adams to hold off Seton Hall 73-67 on Saturday in the regular-season finale.

Georgetown (20-9, 12-6 Big East) had a 17-point lead early in the second half but the Pirates (16-14, 6-12) cut that to five on a Sterling Gibbs layup with 42 seconds left. Tre Campbell hit 4 of 6 free throws - the Hoyas were 24 of 37 from the line - to hold on. Campbell had 13 points to offset the loss of leading scorer D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera (16 ppg), who sat with a lower body injury.

Tyler Adams got the start for the Hoyas - his first game action since 2011 - after the NCAA approved a waiver to allow him to play. The senior was diagnosed with a heart ailment during his freshman season. He opened the game with a dunk and made an emotional exit.

Gibbs led Seton Hall with 22 points, Brandon Mobley had 15 and Angel Delgado had 10 points and 15 rebounds.
