Northeastern edges Delaware 67-64

BALTIMORE (AP) David Walker scored 17 points and Quincy Ford had 16 as third-seeded Northeastern edged No. 6 seed Delaware 67-64 in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament quarterfinals on Saturday night.

Zach Stahl added 13 points and six rebounds for the Huskies (21-11) who move on to face No. 2 seed UNC-Wilmington in the CAA tournament semifinals on Sunday.

Northeastern led 35-31 at the break but Delaware went 9-4 to start the second half to make it 40-40 with 17:43 to play and trailed by narrow margins through the rest of the period.

With eight seconds to play, Delaware's Kory Holden drove inside for a layup to bring the Blue Hens (10-20) to within one point, 65-64, before a foul by Kyle Anderson sent Walker to the line where he sank two, sealing the Huskies' victory.

Holden scored 20 points and dished five assists for the Blue Hens.
