Oklahoma State QB Daxx Garman will transfer, Mason Rudolph to start

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy announced that quarterback Daxx Garman will transfer and Mason Rudolph will be the team's starter. Garman will graduate this spring and be eligible to play in the 2015 season.

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy announced that quarterback DaxxGarman will transfer, according to ESPN's Jake Trotter.

Mason Rudolph will be the team's starter, Gundy said.

Garman will graduate this spring and be eligible to play in the 2015 season. He started his career at Arizona in 2011 before transferring to Oklahoma State.

After replacing J.W. Walsh in the second game of last season, Garman led Oklahoma State to five straight wins before losing his next four starts. His season ended when he suffered a concussion against Texas in November.

In nine games last season, Garman completed 54.9 percent of his passes for 2,041 yards, 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Rudolph, who will be a sophomore in 2015, replaced Garman for the final three games of the season, including a win in the Cactus Bowl over Washington. In three games, he completed 57.0 percent of his passes for 853 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions.
