The Flames were eliminated in the semifinals of the Horizon League tournament by Green Bay on Saturday.

"I want to thank Howard Moore for his five years of commitment to UIC Athletics," athletic director Jim Schmidt said in a news release. "We have high expectations and aspire to be at the top of the Horizon League and we have not met our competitive goals. We have dedicated and talented student-athletes in the basketball program who are committed and make us optimistic for the future. I wish Howard the very best of luck going forward."

Prior to taking over at UIC, Moore served as an assistant at Wisconsin from 2005-10.
