Colorado G Dustin Thomas leaves the program

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) Sophomore guard Dustin Thomas is leaving the University of Colorado men's basketball program.

The 6-foot-7, 225-pound native of Texarkana, Texas, played in all 32 of the Buffaloes' games this season, making 11 starts. He averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds.

Overall, he played in 67 games for the Buffs, making 17 starts and averaging 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds. He scored 17 points in a win over USC on Jan. 4 and had 10 points in Colorado's win over Oregon State in the Pac-12 Tournament.

Coach Tad Boyle said the decision to leave the program was Thomas' and added: ''I wish nothing but the best for Dustin. He'll always be a part of the Buffalo basketball family.''
