Cincinnati basketball coach Mick Cronin, who is recovering from an unruptured aneurysm suffered earlier this season, told the Cincinnati Enquirer that he will watch the Bearcats' game against Kentucky on Saturday from inside KFC Yum! Center.

Cronin said he will watch the game by himself in Louisville coach Rick Pitino's office at the center, where the game is being held.

The coach was diagnosed with an arterial dissection and ordered by doctors not to coach or appear on the sidelines during games. The school announced in January that Cronin would not return to coaching this season.

Cronin appeared on the sideline briefly before Cincinnati's final regular season game on Senior Day earlier this month.

According to the Enquirer, he watched the Bearcats' Round of 64 win over Purdue on Thursday from the team's hotel in Louisville.

Larry Davis has been serving as the team's interim coach in Cronin's absence. Cincinnati is 23-10 this season heading into Saturday's game against overall No. 1 seed Kentucky.

Cronin served as an assistant to Pitino from 2001 to 2003 with the Cardinals. He's been the Bearcats head coach since 2006.
