Alabama wide receiver Cam Sims tears ACL

Alabama wide receiver Cam Sims has sustained a torn ACL, coach Nick Saban told reporters on Monday.
The injury occurred during Saturday's practice. On Saturday night, the rising sophomore tweeted about a "minor setback."

Saban said Sims will need surgery and will be out for "a while."

As a freshman last season, Sims had seven catches for 62 yards and a touchdown. He was a four-star recruit coming out of high school who was ranked as the No. 24 wide receiver in his class by Rivals.
Alabama went 12-2 last season, making the College Football Playoff before losing to eventual champion Ohio State in the semifinals.
