GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) Florida quarterback Treon Harris has returned to practice following the shooting death of a family member.

Harris missed three spring practices last week after his 16-year-old cousin was shot in Miami.

Gators coach Jim McElwain says Harris is handling the situation as well as could be expected.

McElwain says Harris ''felt good being back. His family knows that this is where he should be and focus on this. As in any situation of loss, you never get it back. So it's really at that point, focus on the positives, focus on the good things that you had.''

McElwain adds Harris was ''a little rusty'' Monday after missing time, including a scrimmage. A sophomore who started the final six games last season, Harris is competing with redshirt freshman Will Grier.
