Villanova guard Dylan Ennis will transfer after graduating in May, the school announced on Thursday.

Over 36 starts this season, Ennis averaged 9.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 41.7 percent from the field. Ennis played two seasons for the Wildcats after transferring from Rice.

He will be eligible to play immediately.

"Dylan is interested in finding a program that will allow him to play the role of a traditional point guard so he can be the primary ball-handler," Villanova coach Jay Wright said in a news release. "We support Dylan and thank him for all of his efforts as a student and athlete at Villanova." 

Villanova won the Big East regular season and conference tournament championships and earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament before falling to N.C. State in the round of 32.
