Brandon Peters, a quarterback who attends Avon (Ind.) High, announced on Friday that he has committed to Michigan.

Peters is the No. 5 pro-style quarterback and No. 211 player in the class of 2016, according to the recruiting website Rivals.com.

As a junior, the 6'4'', 195-pound Peters threw for 1,876 yards and 21 touchdowns while adding 244 rushing yards and five scores on the ground.

He also drew scholarship offers from Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin, among other programs.

The Wolverines signed two quarterbacks—Alex Malzone and Zach Gentry—in the class of 2015.
