Kansas State sophomore guard Nigel Johnson announced Wednesday that he will transfer from the program.

Johnson is the fourth Wildcats player that will depart this off-season. Leading scorer Marcus Foster and freshman Tre Harris were dismissed from the team last month, and sophomore Jevon Thomas also decided to transfer.

The departures leave Justin Edwards as Kansas State's only returning scholarship guard. The Wildcats also lose senior forwards Nino Williams and Thomas Gipson, who along with Foster were starters last season.

Johnson averaged 5.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists last season, starting seven games.

Kansas State and coach Bruce Weber have six 2015 recruits committed for next season, including five three-stars.
