Arizona's Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will declare for the NBA draft, he announced Tuesday. He has hired agent Mike George, Fox Sports Arizona reported.

The 6'7" sophomore forward announced his decision alongside Wildcats head coach Sean Miller.

"I would just like to say thank you for the city of Tucson and our great fans for everything over the last two years. The love you guys have shown me has been overwhelming. It's not every day a kid where I'm from gets an opportunity like this, and I just try to embrace it."

Hollis-Jefferson averaged 11.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game during the 2014-15 season and helped lead the Wildcats maintain a No. 3 AP ranking early in the season.

Hollis-Jefferson is the projected No. 23 overall pick in June's draft, according to DraftExpress.com.

Reports surfaced last week that the star forward would declare for the draft, but Hollis-Jefferson would not confirm the reports, saying he needed to talk with his family before making a decision.
