Florida Gators assistant coach Matt McCall will be the next head coach at Chattanooga, according to multiple reports.

ESPN's Jeff Goodman was first to report the news, which was later confirmed by Edgar Thompson of the Orlando Sentinel, among others.

Chattanooga is looking to replace Will Wade, who accepted the head coach position at VCU last week. The Mocs were 40-25 in Wade's two seasons as head coach, including a 22-10 finish this year.

McCall, 33, has spent the last four seasons on Billy Donovan's staff at Florida. He previously spent three seasons as an assistant at Florida Atlantic. McCall received both bachelor's and master's degrees from Florida and was a team manager during his time as a student.
