San Diego State freshman Kevin Zabo will transfer

San Diego State Aztecs freshman point guard Kevin Zabo will transfer, the school announced Monday.
Zabo was a three-star recruit out of Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He was born and raised in Canada, where his parents still live.
Zabo played in 12 of the Aztecs' 13 non-conference games but only played a total of 16 minutes in the final 23 games. He averaged 2.6 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.6 assists this season.

"I want to thank Coach [Steve] Fisher and the rest of the staff for giving me this great opportunity," Zabo said in a statement. "It was one of the hardest decisions I have made, but my family and I decided that it was best for me to move on."
Zabo also had offers from George Washington, Iowa State, Illinois and West Virginia before he chose SDSU.
