North Carolina State's Trevor Lacey declares for NBA draft

North Carolina State guard Trevor Lacey will declare for the NBA draft and forgo his final year of college eligibility, the school announced Wednesday.

Lacey's intentions were first reported by Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

Lacey averaged 15.7 points a game on 43.6 percent shooting for the Wolfpack in 2014-15 and was named second-team All-ACC by the media and third-team All-ACC by the conference's coaches. N.C. State finished the season 22-14 after reaching the NCAA tournament's Sweet 16 as a No. 8 seed. Lacey led the team with 17 points in a Round of 32 upset of top-seeded Villanova.

Lacey played only one season at N.C. State following two years at Alabama.
