Florida defensive back J.C. Jackson was arrested Saturday after an armed home invasion robbery in Gainesville, Fla., reports WJXT in Jacksonville.

Investigators said Jackson turned himself into authorities. The alleged robbery occurred just before 4 p.m., when the resident answered his door for Jackson, whom he described as an acquaintance, and two other male suspects. Once inside, Jackson quickly left and one of the two other suspects pointed a handgun at the resident and two of his friends that were visiting.

The suspects made the victims get onto the floor and removed money from their pockets. Police say the resident's marijuana and Xbox were also taken before the three suspects were seen leaving in a red "Nissan" type car.

Investigators said the investigation into the two other suspects was ongoing.

Jackson is listed as a redshirt freshman on Florida's 2015 football roster. He played in last year's season opener, but sustained an injury and did not play for the remainder of the season. He was a former four-star recruit by Rivals.com coming out of high school in Immokalee, Fla.

In December, Jackson and West Virginia wide receiver Jacky Marcellus were grazed by bullets in a shooting in Immokalee. Both sustained minor injuries.
