LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) Nathan Davis is returning to Bucknell as the Bison's basketball coach.

The school said Sunday night that Davis, a Bucknell assistant under Pat Flannery from 2003-08, will be formally introduced at a news conference Tuesday.

Davis replaces Dave Paulsen, who left last month to coach George Mason.

Davis spent the past six seasons as head coach at Randolph-Macon, his alma mater. He led the Yellow Jackets to a 28-3 record last season and was 141-39 overall at the NCAA Division III school.

''I am extremely excited to be coming back to Bucknell,'' Davis said in a statement released by the school. ''Having worked there for five years, I know what a special place Bucknell is. It is an ideal place to coach, because you have student-athletes who are committed to excellence on and off the court.''

Bucknell has won four of the last five Patriot League regular-season championships. Last season, the Bison won the conference regular-season title at 13-5, finished 19-15 overall and played in the National Invitation Tournament.
