Florida sophomore forward Chris Walker has declared for the NBA draft, the school announced Friday.

The 6-10, 220 pound Walker, a former McDonald's All-American, averaged 4.7 points and 3.5 rebounds for the Gators last season. He struggled to find a role under coach Billy Donovan after battling academic eligibility issues that caused him to sit out the first half of his freshman year. Walker was buried on the bench during Florida's 2014 Final Four run, and never found a foothold in the rotation after that.

Scout.com reported Thursday that Walker would not return to Florida but had not decided whether to transfer or turn pro.

Walker remains a tantalizing prospect athletically, despite his struggles and lack of production. DraftExpress ranked him the 72nd best prospect in college hoops.
