Seton Hall guard Sterling Gibbs will transfer from the program, head coach Kevin Willard said Tuesday in a statement.

"We appreciate everything Sterling has done for our program over the last three years and wish him all the best as he pursues a Master's degree at another university," Willard said in a statement.

Gibbs spent the last two seasons with Seton Hall. Before playing for the Pirates, Gibbs played for Texas during the 2011-2012 season.

After Seton Hall's final game of the season, Gibbs said he planned to remain with the Pirates.

“I’m at Seton Hall and that’s where I’m going to be," he told SNY's Adam Zagoria. "That’s where I’m going to finish it out."
