Report: Five-star Caleb Swanigan decommits from Michigan State
Five-star center Caleb Swanigan has decommitted from Michigan State, reports ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
Swanigan committed to Tom Izzo and the Spartans on April 10. He's ranked as the No. 19 player in the 2015 class on Rivals after reclassifying from the class of 2016 to the class of 2015 last spring.
The McDonald's All-American had not signed a National Letter of Intent to Michigan State, however Izzo said on 92.1-FM in Lansing on Thursday that he was not worried about the recruit's status with the school.
Goodman reports that Purdue is "strong for a landing spot" for Swanigan. Swanigan's legal guardian is former Purdue linebacker Roosevelt Barnes. The 6'9'', 270-pound center also drew scholarship offers from Duke, Arizona, Kentucky and Cal, among others.

In March, Swanigan led Homestead (Ind.) High to a state championship and he was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball last month.
With Swanigan's commitment, Michigan State's recruiting class had been ranked No. 8 in the country by Rivals. Its remaining commits are four-stars Deyonta Davis and Matt McQuaid and three-star Kyle Ahrens.
