Memphis guard RaShawn "Pookie" Powell will transfer to LaSalle and have three years of eligibility remaining after the 2015-16 college basketball season, according to CBS Sports.

The former Florida prep school product enrolled at Memphis in 2013 as part of a six-man recruiting class that included fellow guards Markel Crawford and Jake McDowell, as well as small forward Nick King.

In March, the school announced Powell and King would both transfer out of Memphis. Both were rated Top 100 recruits in the 2013 class by 247Sports.

In April, King transferred to Alabama, where he'll play under new coach Avery Johnson. Bizarrely, Memphis announced Monday that former Alabama guard Ricky Tarrant would transfer to the Tigers, effectively resulting in a swap of Tarrant and King.

Powell averaged 4.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 15.4 minutes per game for Memphis during the 2014-15 season. Memphis went 18-14 last season and failed to make the postseason.

Powell will join a LaSalle team led by guard Jordan Price that went 17-16 during the 2014-15 season and did not make the postseason, either. The Explorers went on a Sweet Sixteen run in the NCAA tournament in 2013, losing to eventual Final Four team Wichita State
