Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott is the betting favorite to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy, according to odds released Wednesday by Bovada.

Elliott is pegged at 6-1 to win the Heisman this season. He is followed by LSU running back Leonard Fournette (15-2), TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin (8-1), Georgia running back Nick Chubb (8-1) and Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott (8-1).

Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones is sixth with 12-1 odds, while fellow Buckeye quarterbacks Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett have 25-1 and 28-1 odds, respectively. All three Buckeye quarterbacks fall within the top 16 most likely Heisman winners, according to Bovada's odds.

Everett Golson, who announced his decision to transfer from Notre Dame to Florida State this week, is pegged at 14-1 to win the Heisman.

Elliott rushed for 1,878 yards and 18 touchdowns last season for Ohio State, helping the Buckeyes win the national title. In the College Football Playoff semifinal against Alabama, he rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries, giving him 11.5 yards per carry. He followed that up with 246 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries against Oregon in the national title game.

Fournette, who will be a sophomore this fall, rushed for 1,034 yards and 10 touchdowns in his freshman season with LSU.

Miller was widely pegged as a Heisman favorite before last season, but he suffered a season-ending injury before Ohio State's first game. He's joined on the list this year by Barrett and Jones, both of whom emerged as stars during Ohio State's national championship run in 2014.
