Billy Donovan says goodbye to Florida fans with full-page ad

Former Florida coach Billy Donovan and his wife, Christine, took out a full-page ad in the Gainesville Sun to thank Gator fans for their support.

Former Florida coach Billy Donovan and his wife, Christine, took out a full-page ad in the Gainesville Sun​ to thank Gator fans for their support.

Donovan, who accepted the Oklahoma City Thunder job at the end of April, coached the Gators from 1996-2015 and led the team to back-to-back NCAA titles in 2006 and 2007.

After spending two decades in the community, the Donovans offered a heartfelt thanks. "We leave with hearts full of love and cherished memories of euphoria and heartbreak – on and off the court – shared at every step with our Gator family," the letter reads.
