Rutgers cornerback Darian Dailey was arrested early Sunday morning in Florida and charged with felony armed robbery, Manatee County Sheriff's Department records show.

Dailey, 19, and 20-year-old Trazelle Johnson are accused of brandishing a handgun while demanding money from a man on a bicycle around 2 a.m. Sunday in Sarasota, Fla., according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. The two men fled in a car and the victim gave police the license plate number.

Dailey and Johnson were apprehended in neighboring Manatee County. Rutgers lists Dailey's hometown as Bradenton, Fla., which is in Manatee County.

Dailey redshirted last season as a true freshman and was listed as a starter at cornerback on the spring depth chart, according to NJ.com

"We are aware of the situation and are gathering facts," Rutgers coach Kyle Flood said in a statement, according to NJ.com. "Once those facts are gathered, we will take the appropriate action."

Jail records show that Dailey was still in custody as of 4:30 p.m. ET and was being held on $150,000 bond.
