Notre Dame offensive lineman Matt Hegarty is transferring to Oregon, according to ESPN.

Hegarty is a graduate transfer and will be eligible to play the 2015 season without sitting out a year. He announced his intent to transfer from Notre Dame in March.

The 6'4" lineman has appeared in 21 games over the last two seasons for the Irish, playing center and guard.

The Ducks went 13–2 last season in Mark Helfrich's second year as coach. After making the inaugural College Football Playoff, Oregon defeated Florida State in the semifinals before falling to Ohio State in the national championship game.
