Former Oklahoma State, Arizona QB Daxx Garman transfers to Maryland
Former Oklahoma State and Arizona quarterback Daxx Garman will transfer to Maryland, the Terrapins announced Thursday. He will be eligible to play immediately.
Garman has one season of eligibility remaining. He attended Arizona as a freshman but left the school after one season and transferred to Oklahoma State.
Garman sat out the 2012 season because of NCAA transfer rules and did not play in 2013. He played in nine games last season, including eight starts, after starter J.W. Walsh suffered a season-ending injury. Garman was later concussed and missed the final three games of the season.
True freshman Mason Rudolph replaced Garman and was named the starter for spring ball, leading Garman to transfer.

"He is an experienced quarterback who has proven himself as an accomplished starter in the Big 12, helping to lead his team to a postseason bowl game. Daxx is an outstanding student who has displayed tremendous poise and maturity during his college career. He comes in knowing he is competing for the starting quarterback position and is looking forward to the competition and being part of our football family."
Maryland has three other quarterbacks on its roster: Shane Cockerille, Caleb Rowe and Perry Hills.
