Four-star defensive tackle Julian Rochester commits to Georgia

Julian Rochester, a highly regarded defensive lineman from Powder Springs, Ga., announced on Thursday that he has committed to Georgia.

Rochester, who also received scholarship offers from Auburn, Alabama, Florida and LSU, among other programs, is the No. 5 defensive tackle and No. 46 player in the class of 2016, according to the recruiting service Rivals.com.

The Bulldogs have now secured verbal commitments from four of Georgia's top 10-ranked players in the class of 2016, according to Rivals.com. The other three are offensive linemen Ben Cleveland and E.J. Price and defensive end Chauncey Manac.

Georgia signed another top-50 defensive tackle in its 2015 recruiting class, Westover Comprehensive (Ga.) High standout Trenton Thompson.

Rochester is the 13th player in the class of 2016 to commit to the Bulldogs. The group also includes five-star quarterback Jacob Eason, the top player in the class, according to Rivals.com.
