Report: BGSU's Bryan Thomas suspended in wake of assault arrest
Bowling Green State football coach Dino Babers suspended defensive end Bryan Thomas indefinitely for undisclosed reasons, the coach announced Tuesday.
But Bowling Green Municipal Court records indicate Thomas was arrested for "felonious assault" on May 29, according to The Toledo Blade.
Court records obtained by SI.com confirmed the arrest. Thomas was arraigned in court on Tuesday and is scheduled for a bond hearing on Wednesday.
Thomas' preliminary hearing date is set for June 10.
Thomas received a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA in April due to suffering a season-ending knee injury during his redshirt freshman season in 2011, according to the Observer-Reporter.
