Five-star class of 2016 prospect Josh Langford verbally committed to Michigan State on Monday, according to ESPN.

Langford, a 6-6, 200-pound guard from Madison, Ala., is ranked No. 17 by Rivals and committed to the Spartans after taking a visit to the East Lansing campus last week. He is the school’s second top 50 recruit for the class of 2016.

Langford had scholarship offers from Arizona, LSU, Michigan, Texas, Kentucky, Indiana and Florida, among others.

"I just feel like the family atmosphere is something that is unreal," Langford told Scout.com. "They were more real than any other schools have been. I did a lot of praying and talking to God and just felt like it was the best fit for me as a basketball player and as a young man."

Langford joins four-star center Nick Ward in the Spartans' 2016 recruiting class.

As a junior at Madison Academy, Langford averaged 24.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.9 assists in 24 games played last season.

“I believe in God and he leads you to the right things I feel like he led me to Michigan State,” Langford said. "I did a lot of praying and I just felt like it was right place for me to go. They had been recruiting me since my freshman year that helps as well.”
