Report: Ohio State QB Braxton Miller plans to stay with Buckeyes
Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller plans to stay with the Buckeyes, ESPN's Joe Schad reports.
Miller expects to announce plans for his future next week, he told the Columbus Dispatch.
Miller missed the entire 2014 season following surgery after tearing the labrum in his right throwing shoulder during the preseason.
Backup J.T. Barrett started the first 12 games for Ohio State before breaking his ankle against Michigan, giving way to third-string Cardale Jones, who won three postseason games and led Ohio State to the national title.
Miller tweeted that he had a successful checkup in Birmingham, Ala., with orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews and physical therapist Kevin Wilk. He was reportedly given full clearance to throw without limitations last month.

Miller graduated from Ohio State in the spring, so if he does leave the school, he could transfer as a graduate student and play for another program next season, as he has one remaining season of eligibility.
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer updated the status of his injured quarterbacks on Wednesday. Miller and Barrett did not participate in spring practice as they rehabbed their injuries.
"The only thing that's different is Braxton is pretty close to full speed,” Meyer said. “J.T., I'd probably say, is 95 percent. That was the biggest thing, to get them all healthy and get them ready to go.”
Ohio State starts the season Sept. 7 on the road against Virginia Tech. The Hokies handed the Buckeyes their only loss last season, a 35-21 upset in Columbus.
