Brad Hawkins Jr. announced on Friday that he has committed to Michigan.

The four-star wide receiver picked the Wolverines over reported scholarship offers from Ohio State, Penn State and South Carolina, among other programs.

"I am happy to say that I will be taking my talents to the BIG HOUSE by committing to The University of Michigan," Hawkins wrote in a message posted to his Twitter account.

Michigan earned verbal commitments from 14 players in June, including from four-star offensive lineman Ben Bredeson.

Late last month, the Wolverines secured a pledge from four-star defensive end Ron Johnson, who attends Camden (N.J.) High with Hawkins.

Hawkins, who Rivals.com rates as the No. 206 player in the class of 2016, caught 51 passes for 748 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, according to MaxPreps.

Hawkins is the 21st player and first wide receiver in the class of 2016 to pledge to the Wolverines.
