Four-star 2016 defensive back C.J. Pollard committed to USC at The Opening on Friday, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Pollard is ranked as the No. 11 safety on Rivals.com and the No. 183 player in his class. He chose USC over offers from a host of other schools, including Oregon, Michigan, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Arizona State

A legacy recruit, Pollard's mother and father both attended USC. His father, Marvin Pollard, was a Trojans defensive back from 1988 to 1991.

“It was running through my blood,” Pollard told the Times.

Pollard becomes the 15th commitment to USC coach Steve Sarkisian from the 2016 class. The class includes five-stars Daelin Hayes and Mique Juarez.

The Trojans finished 9–4 last season in Sarkisian's first year.
