Five-star shooting guard Tyus Battle commits to Syracuse
Five-star recruit Tyus Battle announced on Twitter on Monday that he has committed to Syracuse.
The 6'5'' shooting guard committed to Michigan in May but decommitted last month and then took an official visit to Syracuse.
Battle, the No. 21 player in the class of 2016, according to Rivals.com told ESPN that he picked the Orange over Michigan, Louisville, Virginia, Kentucky and UConn.
As a junior at Gill St. Bernards (N.J.) School last season, Battle averaged 16.9 points, four rebounds and one assist per game. He was limited to only nine games because of a foot injury. The previous season, Battle averaged 22.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and two steals per game.
Battle joins four-star small forward Matthew Moyer as the second player in the class of 2016 to commit to the Orange.
