Report: Missouri guard Montaque Gill-Caesar to transfer
Missouri guard Montaque Gill-Caesar will transfer, reports ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
Gill-Caesar was a top-50 recruit out of high school. As a freshman last season, he missed three games after suffering a back injury on Dec. 20 that has lingered into the off-season. He averaged 12.6 points per game before his injury, and 6.9 after he returned.
In February, Gill-Caesar and fellow freshman guard Namon Wright both served two-game suspensions for an undisclosed violation of team policy.
Tigers coach Kim Anderson and Gill-Caesar came to a mutual agreement that transferring was the best option for both parties, according to ESPN.
Gill-Caesar, who is 6'6" and 215 pounds, said in a statement that he would “like to continue (his) college basketball career at a school where (he is) most comfortable.”

Gill-Caesar was Missouri's third-leading scorer last season. He started 13 consecutive games before being sidelined for injury.
Missouri finished with a 9-23 record, winning zero of 10 away games and finishing last in the SEC.
