Colorado State guard Gian Clavell was arrested Thursday by university police for alleged false imprisonment and harassment with a domestic violence enhancement, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Clavell has been suspended from the program, the Coloradoan reported.

“We are aware of an incident on campus Thursday involving men’s basketball student-athlete Gian Clavell,” Colorado State said in a press release, according to the paper. “We take matters of this type very seriously and head coach Larry Eustachy has suspended him from all organized team activities while we gather more information. We are following all university protocols, and will be prepared to take further action when appropriate.”

Clavell, 22, is the Rams' top returning scorer. Over 33 games last season, the senior averaged 9.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 37.3% from the field.

Prior to joining Colorado State, Clavell played two seasons at Northwest Kansas Technical College.
