Tennessee Volunteers redshirt freshman lineman Charles Mosley was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with first-offense driving under the influence and speeding, reports the Knoxville News-Sentinel

Mosley, 18, was stopped at 1:51 a.m. on Wednesday by the Tennessee Highway Patrol for allegedly driving 79 mph in a 55-mph zone. According to the arrest warrant obtained by the News-Sentinel, the arresting officer noticed an odor of marijuana as he approached the door.

Mosley submitted to a blood draw at the Knox County detention facility. He will appear in court on July 29. Mosley redshirted in 2014 after breaking his leg in a car accident last summer.

Volunteers head coach Butch Jones said the school is“aware of the situation and at this point in time are in the process of gathering all of the facts and information" in a statement.
