Four-star shooting guard Maverick Rowan has committed to NC State, he announced on Twitter on Sunday.

Rowan told ESPN's Jeff Borzello that he will reclassify to the 2015 class to be eligible to play for the Wolfpack next season. The 6'5," 180-pound guard has already graduated high school.

A native of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Rowan chose NC State over Louisville and St. John's and also held offers from Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, UCLA and others.

“I felt it would be the best fit for me,“ Rowan told Scout. “Coach [Mark] Gottfried does a great job with his wings and getting them shots coming off wing. In the past, he's gotten shots for T.J. Warren and Trevor Lacey and I think I can be the impact wing that they were.”

Rowan joins three-star forward Shaun Kirk in Gottfried's 2015 recruiting class.

NC State reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament last season before falling to Louisville. The Wolfpack lose leading scorers Trevor Lacey and Ralston Turner but return guard Anthony Barber and forward Abdul-Malik Abu.
