Five-star 2017 athlete Dylan Moses has decommitted from LSU, he announced on Twitter on Monday.

Moses is ranked as the No. 2 recruit in his class by Rivals.com and the No. 1 player from the state of Louisiana. He committed to the Tigers back in September 2013, as a freshman in high school.

Moses attends high school in Baton Rouge, the same city where LSU is located. In a statement on Twitter, he wrote that the Tigers are his No. 1 but the next time he commits, he wants to make sure he will be signing a letter of intent and that there will be no other schools in the mix.

“This was a very tough decision but I think it was the right one for me,” wrote Moses. “Two years ago I decided I wanted to commit to LSU bc [sic] it felt right... I was younger and doing what I thought was right at the time.”

Charges dropped against LSU's Anthony Jennings, two teammates

Moses holds scholarship offers from a vast number of schools across the country, including Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Texas, TCU and Notre Dame
