After a 7–5 season that ended in a Birmingham Bowl win over ECU, Florida kicks off the 2015 season on Sept. 5 vs. New Mexico State.

The Gators enter the 2015 campaign with a new head coach in Jim McElwain. McElwain replaces Will Muschamp, who was fired after accumulating a 28–21 record in four seasons.

Florida is looking to improve on an offense that finished 12th in the SEC in passing yards and eighth in rushing yards. Sophomore quarterback Treon Harris returns, but McElwain has said that redshirt freshman Will Grier is the leading candidate in the team’s quarterback battle.

Defensively, the Gators ranked No. 9 in the FBS in yards per game allowed and No. 24 in points allowed under the defensive-minded Muschamp last year.
