The Utes' new threads, in partnership with Under Armour, incorporate various elements of Utah football uniforms from the past six decades.

The interlocking UU on the back of the helmet is from the 1960s, the number font stems from the 1970s and the stripes on the jerseys and pants reemerge from the 1970s through 1990s.

The hashtag for the Utes' promotion is #UUThrowback.

Replicas of the throwback jerseys will be available at the University of Utah Bookstore and online on Aug. 20.

Utah opens the 2015 season at home against the Michigan Wolverines on Sept. 3.
