Four-star power forward Matt Freeman has committed to Oklahoma, reports Scout.com's Evan Daniels.

Freeman, a New Zealand native, verbally committed to the school Thursday.

"The coaches are great and I just see myself fitting in there better than anywhere else," Freeman told Daniels. "I see it as the best opportunity for me as an individual to develop into the best player I can be. It's a great place, too, and the campus is beautiful."

Freeman is 6'8" and perhaps best suited to play on the perimeter. At the Adidas Nations tournament, Freeman averaged over 17 points per game, shooting over 40% from three.

Oklahoma now has three verbal commitments for the class of 2016—Freeman, guard Kameron McGusty and forward Kristian Doolittle.
