Class of 2016 center Rodney Miller has committed to the University of Miami, he announced on Twitter Monday.
Miller, listed a 6'11" and 245 pounds, is the first player in his class to commit to the Hurricanes. Rivals lists him as a four-star recruit and the No. 93 prospect in his class.
Miller is a native of Queens, N.Y., and plays at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia.
“Rodney is a true center who can score inside with both hands,” Oak Hill coach Steve Smith said, according to SNY’s Adam Zagoria. “He is a real presence in the lane area on both ends of the floor and a great rebounder.”
Miami’s starting center, Tonye Jekiri, will graduate after this season.
