TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) Arizona State coach Todd Graham said his son is pursuing an ''exciting opportunity'' but did not offer any other details on why Bo Graham left the program less than two weeks before the Sun Devils' first game.

Bo Graham, Arizona State's running backs coach for three seasons, resigned on Monday due to personal reasons. Todd Graham thanked his son Tuesday for the time they worked together and wished him the best in his new job, though he would not say what the job was.

With the younger Graham's departure, Arizona State promoted Josh Martin to assistant coach, working with tight ends and H-backs.

Bo Graham was entering his fourth season at Arizona State under his father. The two also worked together at Pittsburgh and Tulsa.
