The Texas Longhorns are looking for a bounce-back year after going 6—7 in Charlie Strong’s first season in Austin. The team will cater to junior quarterback Tyrone Swoopes and move to a more up-tempo offense while it tries to fill the void left by six departing seniors on defense.
Notre Dame is ranked No. 12 in the nation entering the season after an 8—5 campaign in 2014. The Fighting Irish will start Malik Zaire at quarterback with the departure of Everett Golson, who transferred to Florida State in the off-season. Notre Dame will also look to improve its defense, which ranked 71st in yards per game last season.
