In-state opponents Florida State and South Florida will face off on Saturday in Tallahassee. 

Florida State took on Texas State in its season opener on Saturday. The Seminoles beat the Bobcats 59-16, extending their winning streak at home to 15 games. FSU's new starting quarterback Everett Golson, a transfer from Notre Dame, had 302 yards, four touchdowns and no turnovers before backup Sean Maguire took over late in the fourth quarter. 

South Florida opened its season with 51-3 victory over Florida A&M on Sept. 5. The Bulls offense accumulated 556 yards and scored the most points for South Florida since 2011. Quarterback Quinton Flowers made his second career start, throwing two touchdown passes to D’Ernest Johnson and compiling 204 all-purpose yards.
