Georgia dominated Louisiana-Monroe 51–14 on Saturday in a lightning-shortened game, as quarterback Garrett Smith completed 23 of 29 passes for 206 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. RashonCeaser had 13 catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs, who were forced by officials to end the onslaught with 9:54 left in the game.
Vanderbilt is coming off of a devastating 14–12 loss to Western Kentucky, in which Joe Brown stopped Nathan Marcus a yard shy of the goal line on a two-point conversion attempt with 33 seconds left to preserve WKU's win on Thursday night. Johnny McCrary, who earned the start for Vanderbilt after winning a quarterback competition with Wade Freebeck, went 18of 34 for 217 yards and also rushed for 66 yards on eight carries.
