Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow will return to television as an analyst for the SEC Network, the channel announced today.

Tebow will appear this Saturday on SEC Nation, the network's conference-specific, College GameDay-type show. Tebow served as an analyst for the show last season.

The quarterback's attempts to revive his NFL career were dashed when he was cut from the Philadelphia Eagles last Saturday. Tebow has not played in an NFL regular season game since 2012, when he was a member of the New York Jets.

Tebow was cut from the New England Patriots after a brief stint with the team in 2013. He was out of the league completely last season.

In college, Tebow starred for the Florida Gators, winning the Heisman and two national championships under then-coach Urban Meyer.

Saturday's edition of SEC Nation will air live from Nashville prior to the Georgia-Vanderbilt game.
